What do we make during the class?

You’ll create two pieces:

• a cheeky first build penis to get everyone loosened up • a guided torso sculpture using the nude live model

Is it more fun or more “art class”?

Both. It starts fun and a bit chaotic as the model looses layers, then shifts into something more guided and surprisingly creative/cheeky. That is once you get over the initial shock of omg he’s nude!

Is the model completely nude?

The model poses completely nude for the second half of the session, as a reference for the torso sculpting. It’s relaxed, respectful, and a lot less awkward than people expect. Our models are experienced and trained to respect boundaries whilst keeping everything light hearted and fun.

How much clay does each guest get to work with during the class?

Each guests will get 3kg’s of air dry clay to create there penis shaped first build and nude torso sculpture second build.

Do we have to all make the same thing out of the clay?

No we love seeing people go completely off script, we will teach you have to shape carve and work with air dry clay. You can then make whatever you like we have seen dragons with penis heads, puppies yes just normally puppies, we give you plenty of clay. You follow along with your friends them make some little trinkets any leftovers, put a hole in the clay and make a pendent.

How close does the model get during the party? Is there any physical contact?

It really depends on the group. Our models are great at reading the room, if everyone’s a bit shy they’ll hang back and keep it easy, but once the energy picks up they’ll get a bit more playful and move around more, especially with the bride. Nothing breaks the ice like giving the bride a good amount of inspiration.

There’s no inappropriate touching though, everything stays respectful and within clear boundaries, and remember that goes both ways. The model looks after your group, and your group looks after the model.

Can we take photos?

Your art teacher will be running around taking photos, making sure she gets angles that keeps the models top money maker hidden. She will also take any selfies or group shoots then you want, think of her as your groups photographer. They will then send all the images to you.

Is a life drawing class suitable for mixed-age groups?

Yes, our sessions are designed to be playful, tasteful, and comfortable for everyone, from the bride’s mates to aunties and mums. The emphasis is on laughter and creativity, not anything too risqué, we have had guests that are 18 and guests that are 98.

Do we need to be good artists?

Nope. It’s not about being good, it’s about having a laugh. The instructor will guide you through it, and the model definitely won’t be judging, no matter how bad you make them look.
