During my highschool years, Delvira was conceived as an entity to help express artistic, creative and dramatic ideas. Loving both art and drama in school, drag was the perfect combination of both. Delvira was hugely inspired by the glamorously dark and powerful ladies (Morticia Addams, Elvira, Cher) and is originally a sexy vampiress with a love of country music (talk about odd pairings) Once I turned 18 I started performing at the open stage nights in Perth for fun and experience, and was soon hired to work at a drag night named POP at Connections Nightclub in September 2011. Over the next 12 I’ve been doing shows at the local bars and clubs, plus touring shows and events, as well as private events such as hens parties, corporate functions etc. I am working on perfecting my skills and persona into what it is today. Though Delvira at her roots will always be the dark sexy vampire character, she can morph into many different looks and styles. Delvira is renowned for her impersonations and character work (Cher, Morticia Addams, Elvira, Jennifer Coolidge, Hocus Pocus Bette Midler to name a few) and is ever expanding her repertoire of characters. She’s very versatile (in more ways than one) and can go from country queen to dark gothic glamour to dazzling diva!!
